How to prepare a set
for rehearsal.

Before you start

You need a few songs in your library. If you don't have them yet, get your first library together first. This walkthrough takes a gig or rehearsal set from a list of songs to something you can open on your phone and play through.

1. Make the setlist

1. Open the Playlists tab and tap + List.
2. Choose Setlist. A setlist is for a gig: a song can appear more than once, each with its own key or tuning. Name it, for example “Friday at the Crown”, and tap Create list.
3. Use the “Add a song” search box on the list to add songs one at a time, in the order you want to play them.

Prefer to start from an idea? Describe a set lets you tell the AI what you need and shows you a proposed set. It only proposes: nothing is added until you accept it. It needs a connection and counts toward your plan's AI uses.

2. See what's not ready

The top of the list shows the song count and the total time. If some songs have no duration, a card tells you how many are missing; tap it to go through them one after another.

Below that, Set readiness shows how well you know each song, from “Want it” to “Own it”, using the ratings you've set. Turn on Needs-work first to move flagged songs to the top of the view. It doesn't change your saved running order.

3. Fix the weak songs

1. Open a song that needs work and tap + Add a chart if it has none, or Read chart to check it.
2. Open the Practice tab for a short list for the session: songs you're learning, a run-through, and songs you haven't played in a while. Log what you played and what to fix next time.

4. Run the set

On the setlist, tap ▶ Play through to read through the songs in order, with the screen kept on. ⏺ Record records each song: a practice take with a count-in, or a live gig with none. Open your setlists once while you're online and they're saved on your phone, so they still open with no signal.

5. Rehearse with the band

Tap 🎸 Band practice on the setlist and share the link. Bandmates open it on their phone or tablet, type their name and instrument once, and follow along. They don't need an account.
